3DS Max Model Simple Conversion to Textured OBJ - 3D Graphic Design Freelance Job

Hello 3DS Max Experts,

This could quite possibly be the easiest money you’ve made yet. I’m a film student and animator (not a modeler) so my budget is a little small but this job is small. What I need is someone to take a .MAX file I purchased and convert the 3D model of a spaceship into a textured OBJ file that I can use in Vue 6 Infinite. I’ll be animating in Vue6i and I cannot seem to get this model textured properly. The modeler is too busy to help me and I have all the textured but since my 3DS Max knowledge is very limited and I am on a time schedule, I need some help.

I’ll spare you the details of my shortcomings but here’s what I need:
- I’ll provide the .Max file and textures (104 Mb zipped - it’s a gigantic and very detailed model)
- All I need is someone that knows their stuff to take this .Max file and export an OBJ.
- You’ll need to import the OBJ into Vue 6 Infinite or another program and texture it because the textures do not translate when exported from Max.
- Provide me with an OBJ that has textures and works in Vue and you’ll get paid.
- I’ll need a small contract or Non-Disclosure agreement with you because you cannot use or keep this model after the project is complete.

Add custom diacritical marks to a font - Graphic Design Freelance Job

For a couple of decades we have been using some PostScript Type 1 fonts that we have added our own custom diacritical marks to for the transliteration of Sanskrit language text in Roman type. We have recently chosen a new font for an upcoming book, and we need to have our specific set of diacritical marks added to the font. We have traditionally done this work ourselves in Fontographer, and more recently Font Lab Studio. But we would like to hire out the project this time.

There are 21 characters requiring the addition of diacritical marks, which consist of four types: a horizontal line above, an accent mark (accent aigu), a dot above, or a dot below the existing character. It’s actually rather simple. A PDF is enclosed showing the diacritical marks to be added, shown on a font to which we added them a long time ago using Fontographer.

The addition of these diacritical marks is to be done on five existing faces of a single font family.

In addition to adding the diacritical marks, we also find the font’s existing kerning to be less than perfect, and we would like the kerning improved. We will provide examples of kerning pairs we feel don’t work very well.

The fonts with the diacritical marks and improved kerning tables are expected to be reoutputting in the same format they came from, PostScript Type 1 for Macintosh.

.Xml based Left to Right Scroll Bar Flash Gallery - Flash Design Freelance Job

I am looking for someone to help me with the gallery I am using for my new portfolio website. It is a left to right scroll bar gallery made in flash using .xml to load the images. The problem is that I cannot get the gallery quite right as I am not versed in Action Script and my brother ran into walls while making this gallery.
The images load correctly but the images I am using are different widths and I need this gallery to load images of variable widths without overlapping or putting extra space between photos. I am thinking this can be done with some code that reads the width of the image and applies it to the spacing parameters but I’m not sure.

The gallery is 480 PX high by 800 PX wide and is being used for all albums in my portfolio. I don’t want to use slideshow pro or any of the other flash galleries because they all look similar and the one I have is clean and simple.
I am open to you making a whole new gallery that fits the specifications if it is easier.

We are interested in a one-day paid trial to see if we will continue with your service. If you keep your end of the bargain, we will continue with you.

For example:
If you state that you will sign up 20 dealers, and the cost is $7.50 / hour, and you will work 8 hrs (one day). We will pay you $60.00 for your service once the service is rendered (this is different from the commission). Our lead followers will contact the dealers that you signed up to make sure that the sign ups are not fakes. If all of the sign ups are legitimate, we will continue with your service and you will get your commission, no fake sign ups please. If we continue with you, and we agree to pay you $60 for 20 dealership sign ups per day, we will pay you $3 per legitimate sign ups for up to $60 (the amount that we agreed upon).

You might have to make follow-up calls to the car dealers that you signed up to convince them to log in and input their credit card information (pay pal) so the trial period can begin. We will not pay you for these follow-up calls. These follow-up calls will affect your commission, if the car dealers don’t pay, we cannot pay your commission.

We have two types of customers. The first are the general public who post a request to receive quotes for a job they want done. The second type are the tradesmen, suppliers of the service who will be quoting for the work. The quotes are sent by email to the customer. The service is free for customers. It’s a bit like iFreelance but across different market sectors.

The UNIQUE SELLING POINTS to the customer are that a) we cover so many market sectors, b) the identity of the customer is kept hidden unless the customer wishes to contact the supplier and c) the quotes are submitted straight to the customer’s email inbox.

The BENEFITS to the customer are that competitive quoting drives down the price for doing the work and improves the quality. I’m sure you are used to this on here.

The BARRIER is that the customer has to register, validate their registration, gather details on their job and then create an RFQ onsite. This barrier neeeds to be turned from a NEGATIVE to a POSITIVE. eg. spending 10 minutes on our site will save them loads of money later.

The FOCUS is on the customer who is requesting a quote. Having customer’s RFQ’s will draw suppliers of those services. Just like on this website.

These 4 points need to conveyed into several statements on the web page I have shown you. There are 3 sections on this web page:

a) The area immediately below the header title Spondoola. In one short paragraph of 1 or 2 sentences this section needs to perform the Interest in the AIDA model.

b) The headline statement on the image showing the little orange men. In one or two phrases this statement needs to be 100% positive and credible and perform the Attention in the AIDA model.

c) The central text message is to encourage visitors to sign up as either customers or suppliers. This section needs statements to perform the Desire and Action in the AIDA model for bother customers and suppliers. If you think what we already have is a good basis to work on then use that.

My preference is for copywriters who show me some of their previous work or draft ideas.

Deadlines aren’t the issue here. I’d rather wait for someone to come up with a “Diamonds Are Forever” than jump in at the first response. I’ll say nice things about you if you can do alchemy with words.
