We are seeking a talented java developer with MVC and agile experience, to work on a Grails application. The duties are to build a Web-based lead collection application with Grails and a Web service interface to a subscription database. The candidate will work as part of a distributed team, with an agile methodology running a 3 week release cycle.
* Talented java programmer
* Experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar MVC framework.
* Experience with Groovy and Grails will be a big help. Web service experience is helpful.
* Windows computer. You will have to install VPN software.
We are seeking individual developers for this project who would work with us as dedicated employees. We are not considering development firms or teams, however we will contract a developer through your firm.

PLEASE BE SURE TO PROVIDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER WITH YOUR BID. We need to create an ethical faith based lesson into a storyline with either a problem children will solve or a discovery they’ll make through their journey in our new fantasy Wonderland with fairies and pixies for ages 2-11. We have tongue twisters and rhymes as book text, that need to be turned into a script for an animated short film with a storyline created. We originally wrote the text as a children’s book, yet it evolved instead into a 30-35 minute animated home film that now needs a script written. The writer would not be creating something from scratch. We already have the concept of our brand and would like to assist the writer in outlining the creation of the storyline and flow. This is our first animated DVD with text that needs to be written into script, so the budget is small and we look forward in meeting the right person(s) to help us revise this fantasy into a suspenseful fantasy— sprinkled with humor that children can’t resist! We are looking for something very edgy and on the fringe for our project. This is a very “out there” style project for most Christian videos. The animated video portion will be 7-10 minutes max, the script is written–we just need somebody to make the animated video for us. We are looking for more than a cartoon–we want something very different than what you can get at a bible or Christian book store. You may contact for more info but the exact details of the script will not be given out except to the project winner.

In a nutshell, we’re looking for someone to create software that would allow a user to open an image file (JPEG, BMP, TIFF, PDF) and take measurements from it.
In general, the user experience should be something along these lines:
1. Open the image file
2. Choose two points and give it’s measurement to define the scale
3. Dimension the image (the dimensions remain on-screen to show what you’ve done)
4. (optional) Add a predefined amount to the measurements (say, half an inch to all sides of a square)
5. Calculate the total number of square inches
6. Print out the image with the dimensioning and totals shown (or perhaps, export as PDF)
The images will either be vector art (as a PDF) or a photograph taken of previously created artwork. The photographs will be taken as close to square on as possible (we recognize that there will be a certain amount of error–we can live with that), so there’s no need to compensate for skewed photographs.
Dimensioning will all be done as rectangles, and the software should be smart enough to only require two sides. The rectangles may overlap, especially after the additional measure is added. We’d also like the ability to add notes to the final printout, as the same image may be dimensioned multiple times in different ways.
In your bid, please include an estimate of how much time this project will take to complete and an estimated completion date.
