Our company site is currently the #1 search result on Google, generating more than 20,000 unique hits each month. We are a boutique law firm located near Grand Central Station in New York City with an international client list.
The project is to convert our existing Dreamweaver structure to the Liferay Portal Platform in order to incorporate more robust (Web 2.0) functionalities. This is a phased project (please see attached) with a proposed launch date of August 1, 2008.
We have existing content and design–all of which will be repurposed for the new site. All porting of content will be done in-house, but we need a developer to set up the site structure via Liferay. More detailed project specifications are available upon request.

I’m looking for an artist to produce some artwork for a computer game project I’m working on. The game involves a set of square tiles that have various types of terrain on them. The tiles are played in such a way that the terrain features connect across the edges of the tiles. All of the art will be two-dimensional, viewed from directly above, or with a fake isometric-style side view.
The game will have a zoo theme, so the artwork doesn’t have to be at all realistic - cute, funny, and very colorful are fine. I’m imagining four types of terrain:
Paths (linear)
Railroads (linear)
Water features (area-based)
Animal Habitats (area-based)
The linear features will only take up part of the tile edge, while the area-based features will take up the entire tile edge.
For each terrain type, I’ll need art for all the possible different configurations of connections between the edges of tiles. These are
(1) dead end,
(2) turning 90 degrees,
(3) continuing straight across the tile,
(4) a 3-way intersection (T intersection), and
(5) 4-way intersection
Specifications:
* All tiles will be a minimum of 256×256 pixels
* I need a square bare-dirt image to be used before a tile is played
* I need a background image (grass?) that connects smoothly with itself along all four sides of the tile. The terrain will be drawn on top of this background.
* There are four terrain types, each with five types of connections, for a total of 20 basic connections that can go on various edges on top of the background tile. I’d like to have at least two versions of each type of connection to give the game variety, so that’s a minimum of 40 small terrain pieces.
* In some special intersection cases (e.g. a railway crossing a road, or a cage intersecting with a river) I’ll need unique images to handle these. This will probably be at least six more images, possibly as many as twelve.
* I’d like some small incidental artwork to add to the tiles when space allows. This could include any zoo-style items like fountains, planters, statues, concession stands, ticket booths, flags, gazebos, animals, signs, planters, etc. These should be simple, and can either be top views or isometric views as appropriate. They need not be large or detailed - if the tiles are 256×256, these items can be 128×128. I’d like at least 15 of these small items.
* I need animals for the habitat areas in the zoo. These can be small icons similar to the above. I’d like at least 12 different species.
* I need an image (top view) of a locomotive and an image of passenger cars to ride around on the railroad terrain.
* I also need two larger images as backgrounds for the interface. These are larger images at a 4:3 ratio, a minimum of 1600×1200 in size. One will be displayed between games (i.e. before play starts and after the player has finished a game), so it will need a simple logo, some buttons, and a space for a high-score list. The other is the main window background for gameplay. This will need a frame of some sort (probably a wrought-iron fence) around the square playfield and spaces next to this for the tiles yet to be played. Neither of these images needs to be terribly complex or detailed - they just need to look good and be in keeping with the tile art, and they need to leave me the appropriate spaces for displaying information and game graphics.
I’ve not posted here before, so I don’t know what to expect for bids. I’m an independent game designer working with my publishing company. We market our games as shareware, and the budget for this game isn’t very large, but we are willing to pay a reasonable fee for quality work. I’m looking for something original, professional, fun, cute, and engaging. I’m not looking for something cobbled together out of clip art, thrown together in MS Paint, or crudely sketched and scanned. Good English skills are mandatory, since the needs are complex.
All artwork will need to be property of and copyright owned by me, so this will be work-for-hire. We will include you in the game credits and are willing to link to your site from ours if it is family friendly.

Absolute Yoga is an established yoga studio based in Metro West region of Mass. We offer all levels of Yoga and some Pilates and we have a thriving Growing Families Program (Prenatal Yoga, Itsy Bitsy Yoga). We have a positive reputation and have continued to grow steadily each year when other studios have come and gone. We know we are distinctive among yoga studios and we wish to be promoted that way.
We are seeking a capable and energetic person to help us grow our business further through public relations. We offer regular workshops and events at our studio and would like to have a stronger and more widespread campaign to promote them. Our staff is very knowledgeable and creative–we see them as an asset to helping us to grow our student base (locally) and reputation (regionally and nationally). We would like someone who can help us explore opportunities for inclusion in published yoga journals and fitness magazines (as consultants, expert advice, etc). We have been providing classes and have a nice (but not huge) student base. We are ready to see our studio really “arrive” on the yoga scene and in the community–building awareness of our “product”.
We have always hosted a number of great events and benefits (Prenatal Wellness Nights, Yoga Birthday Parties to benefit a charity, fundraisers for food banks, etc) but the attention we’ve received has been fairly low key and could be maximized. We are already providing a professional, organized and quality service and have an excellent group of teachers with a variety of assets, talents and skills that make our studio unique. We’d like to take what we already have going for us and market it better.
Some things we are already doing: We also do regular direct mail campaigns within local towns–600–1200 postcards send to a demographic within a town (age, neighborhood, occupation, gender). We also send out an informative, personal-feeling monthly newsletter (over 1200) in addition to emailing about workshops/events to more targeted segments. We regularly post colorful event/workshop flyers in and around the community and have in-class announcements. Sometimes it feels like we are just speaking to the people who already know about us and we want a PR person to help us branch out of that mindset/approach.
We are less a “spiritual-focused” kind of studio but we aren’t strictly fitness-focused either. We like to think of creative new styles and class formats and are passionate about packaging our classes in a way that is honest and appealing. We are not looking to keep recycling the same things/classes that yoga studios do everywhere..
Qualities we’re looking for in a PR person:
Energetic, dedicated, professional, creative-thinker, pro-active (i.e. someone whose style it is to update us with progress before we need to wonder if anything is actually happening), contacts/familiarity with how to market us to regional/national publications and local TV. Someone who can identify the best that our studio has to offer and knows how to maximize that to meet our collective goals. Someone who understands the difference between “gym yoga” and “studio yoga” and how to market to the crowd we are trying to reach (studio yoga). Someone who has strong follow-through.
We are looking to start as soon as possible laying the groundwork. Let’s work hard this summer so that our big season (Fall) has an impact! We need someone who is eager to make a name for themselves with us. Perfect for smaller, independent “one-woman shows”!

Basically it’s a new blog that dishes all the rumors and secrets in Black Hollywood. There are few blogs/websites like these, but growing. We have a program on the market for model railroaders (see www.trainplayer.com). It has versions for Windows and Mac OS X, but the Mac version is behind in features. It needs to have new features ported or developed, bugs fixed, artwork improved, and general caretaking by a Mac expert.
The UI is in Cocoa. About half the code is C++ developed in Windows on VS2005 / MFC. We are looking for someone who has both machines, is expert in Cocoa and IB, and also comfortable in the Windows dev environment. It would help to have an interest in the subject and an artistic bent.
This could either be a short-term project to deliver the next revision for Mac, or a longer-term (part-time) arrangement to maintain the Mac version into the future. This program could be a hit. We are eager to share proceeds with someone who could make it become one on Mac.

This should give you a good idea of the intended design.
We need a structural analysis of two components.
1. Within the side walls of the roadway are Cold Steel Formed trusses. We have about 4ft height inside the walls which enclose the trusses. There is a truss on each side. We need to determine the truss specifications and we need to know the maximum span we could have between the external support hangers (shown as arches in most illustrations). In other words, we want to determine the longest realistic span using conventional CSF truss fabrication methods and materials.
2. The illustrations show arch supports and hangers which hang the roadway modules from the arches. The arches could be CFS assemblies such as
curved trusses, pipe or bent steel. We need to use conventional, low cost, easy to procure materials (no exotics like carbon fiber, etc. no plastics). We
need the anticipated loading on these trusses and, assuming they are fabricated from steel pipe, we need to know the specs: Wall thickness and diameter.
If standard size pipe could not be used, we need to consider curved trusses.
We will assume the arch span to be 36 ft (to span a typical two-lane road) and the arch height at the center point to be 30ft, 36ft and 40ft. This
means the “arch” may or may not be eliptical in shape. The roadway modules hang from these arches at or near the peak (the highest point), but
we would like to be able to hand two or even three roadway sections as show in some of the patent drawings.
The roadways have a uniform static load of 40 lb/sq ft with bikes, but a much larger load if filled with pedestrians. Assume they are 18 ft wide meaning the MINIMUM static load is 720 lb per linear foot. We need
the span (problem 1) to calculate the total load per arch. Of course, we need to add reasonable loading for the structure weight, snow and wind loads. We also need reasonable safety factor.
3. We also need to consider the “topple over” effect due to horizontal wind load. With the arch base points 36ft apart, and the horizontal wind force
at the peak (to ft high), what will the tension force be trying to lift the one leg out of its footer?
There are, of course, other issues. But, please quote on determining the above issues for phase I. You may quote on a per hour basis and you initial guess as to how many hours you would expect. This way, we would pay for any additional time you used.

We need an animation showing teens, young adults, business people and a senior citizen riding bikes, Segways or electric scooters through
our roadways.
The animations would be on our website (flash, I guess) and we want a “blockbuster film” to post on UTube.
Ideally, there would be 4 or so scenes - 1 with teens riding and having fun, 1 showing a morning commute to work, 1 with mom and child going shopping,
1 senior couple taking a romantic ride.
Currently the photos you see on the website are autocad 3d renderings.
We are not knowledgable in animation, your terminology or exactly what you would need.
We could render images of the “Cool Tubes” and we could get you a “walk through” animation from autocad.
We do not have great backgrounds.
We do not have sound, but would like appropriate sound for each scene
We do not have characters other than some (not very great) photos.
Animated characters would probably be better.

I’m looking for a Graphic Designer that I can have longevity with.

I just completed a murder-mystery and am looking for a design for the front cover. What I had in mind was a lip print that when looked at in the center is a chalked outline of a body and the ‘Police Line Do Not Cross’ yellow tape going across the design. The title of the book is “A Kiss of Betrayal”.
The logo design is “MadHouse Publication”, I have four kids and wanted to incorporate cartoon faces within the word Madhouse. I do have an example available on request.
The photo to be editted is a picture of someone looking at a fence, in which I want to create a memorial of flowers, teddy bears and cards… RIP Paulie aka Spaz Dogg..
I really want to close out this bis as soon as possible because I need the project complete immediately.

What I need done is a variety of very specialized article publishing and interlinking. I call this process a article ‘hubbing’ It is wherewe place articles at a range of pre-specific sites (such as squidoo,com) and then interlink all of the articles together as well as each article links once to the client using an optimized text link anchor.
All of the client anhors I provide, you would link between the articles naturally using keywords that make for the article. Each articles links three time to other articles, and once to the client.
This creates a large interlinked article information hub that helps improve rankings.
There are also some articles that are currently live where I need you to go in and change links to point to different websites.
Task 2 is that I am affiliate manager for amoils.com. We are increasing our affiliate signups. I have an oing list of people that need to be emailed about our program. I send you the website and email. Your job is to:
Go to the website, and find one unique about the site
Paste the standard template I have, include the personalized part near the top so the owner knows you visited the website.
Change some of the mail details to reflect the website you are sending to.
I have an excel sheet that has the website url and an email address.
I also send you an email template.
What you will do, is visit the website, modify the email address to include a unique statement near the top that shows the site owner that we visited the website.

Seeking a full charged bookkeeper for a 4-6 months full time project for a company in the beginning stages of being acquired. Position could continue for a longer term or permanent, but not definite.

I have 5 photos and 6 drawings that I would like to have converted to hand drawn sketches. The sketches do not have to be replicas of the originals, just similar. The persons in the sketches should be recognizable. None of the sketches have to contain a lot of detail, but they should all be similar in style.

Our existing site has something that almost function the way we want, it’s in a CMS that we’ll be getting rid of sometime. But it’s ASP, we want something in PHP, and we want it outside of this CMS.
Here are details, I can provide more as you need.
We’re in need of a custom news module with a secure administrator login site, where news is entered and edited using a set of fields. HTML editing needs to be available for the content field, where the main story is entered. A preview of the article in its final version is needed, as it will look in the final format, without actually being published first. All news releases entered in system will be backed onto a news archive page, which will be visible to the end user.
On the user end, the news items will be published to the main page, the news page and the archive page. Listed in reverse chronological order, newest on top. Allow additional sites to use the news items through a basic API. The main page will display release date and the headline. The script that goes on this page should have the option to edit the number of articles that show on this page. Like wise with the news main page. But in addition to the release date and the headline, it’ll have thumbnails of any images the article may have and the excerpt from the article. The archive page will be similar to the news main page except it won’t be limited to the number of stories that show up, it’ll list all the articles that have been published. This page will also have a search function.
And finally need RSS capabilities.
