Seeking English to Czech and English to Hungarian freelance translators for ongoing localization/translation of metrology software user-interface and On-Line Help (OLH) documentation. We are looking for a logo for our new start-up.
The finished logo needs to be in formats conducive for high resolution print, web page, Word, and Powerpoint.
We are under an extremely tight timeline. The final eps version of the logo needs to be completed by Tuesday April 8th.

We are developing a shopping and information site that showcases products and retailers that appeal to consumers with a specific hobby of interest. We do not initially intend to process transactions, but rather refer people to retailer sites via standard affiliate links (e.g. CJ, LinkShare, Shareasale etc.). However, unlike most affiliate mall sites, we will have a refined UI that displays product images and descriptions in a fashion similar to an actual retail site.
We will also have site sections with links, news articles and blogs with information, forums and advice relevant to consumers with these interests.
Since the site will be managed by business people, not Web developers, it is critical that it be easy to add products and content, change page layout, etc.
Pending development of a detailed requirements document, please provide estimates of cost and timing, and examples of your work that demonstrate your ablity to meet our needs based on these specs:

I have an old esoteric Hebrew book. It was translated a hundred years ago, but all the sacred names were left out. It isn't a very large book (less than 50 pages) and most of it has already has been translated.
Your job is as follows:
1) Edit the translation to insure accuracy.
2) Reinsert the sacred and holy names
You do 2 by putting the pronunciation guide or phonetic in.
For example,
Let's say the Hebrew text had the following MYHLA (no font available)
You put in the translation Elohim (MYHLA).
I understand that in some cases you have to GUESS how it is said and that is fine. Part of this document may be in Aramaic - I have no expectations there - but as I said it was mostly translated a hundred years ago.
You can find the English translation there. You will notice lot's of X's to represent the missing names.
You can't see the Hebrew document there but I can provide this for you.

I am looking for fantasy artwork that is to be integrated into a website.
The design I have in mind consists of two wizards a male and female. They are facing each other. The wizard has the traditional long white beard and all, but the woman has black hair. They are both wearing white robes with hoods. The wizard on the right side holds a staff that terminates with a brilliant white flame. The woman on the left has a brass chalice with serpent entwined around it. On the chalice are three jewels in triangle form (yellow, blue, and red) above the chalice levitates a silver lunar crescent (both points point up). On her robe is a large witches pentacle. On his robe is another image that I will provide.
This is a template graphic image to be used in website. This means that when you create the image you also need to take into consideration how it will fit with the rest of the page such as navigation and placement of the text. I will need some ideas here from you on how to integrate the navigation, logo, and the text with this image.Your design will have to be jaw-dropping and capture the full essence of the topic. It also has to load fast online since most users exit pages that takes a long time to load.

The website will be a portal for foreign language education. It should be free to join for teachers to list there services, and for students. The modules should include Forums, Blogs, Text Chat, and most important, Audio/Voice Chat.

We have a website already created for our photography business, and it's already hosted and maintained by a designer. What we NEED is a programmer that can help us create a new section of our existing flash website by supplying us with a backdoor application that allows us to upload photo and flash content painlessly and automatically create our client pages.
We would like to be able to provide a login for our photography clients on our main page. This login will open up a new page (created by the backdoor program) where the customer typically makes two choices: They can either view a multimedia presentation of their photos in a flash video player, or launch a picture browser to look at individual photos (proofs). The multimedia presentation is an SWF file that we create with our own presentation software. We just need to upload it to this client's user account. The browser application would need to be created by the successful bidder.
We know very little about flash, so we need a way to easily upload our photos (proofs) and our SWF presentation, as well as create a custom login (user/pass) for our clients. The backdoor program would then need to create a customer page, format the picture browser to accommodate all of the proofs (the number varies), and apply the SWF presentation to the video screen appropriately.
We have some websites that we've seen that are doing similar things to what we want to accomplish, but we can't do the flash programming ourselves, we don't want to create a client page every time we complete a job, and we want no outside content management requirements. We want complete control over the client pages, etc. This backdoor program needs to automate the entire process for us. Perhaps this can be accomplished through a login of our own?
We can provide much more detail to interested parties upon request. We are preparing a flowchart now on the process.
